Paul 3rd May 2020

From Paul Hinks What can I say about my mucka. He was the most generous, kind person you could ever wish to meet and would do anything for anybody at the drop of a hat. We met when I was 17 in the Old Mill Hotel (Swinger), playing darts for the pub in the local league. We struck up a friendship which I have never looked back on, we both became best friends and played darts together in teams and competitions which over the years we had a lot of success. We won the local league Pairs together a number of years ago and I still have the glassware to this day for which I treasure. Over the years Trevor has done quite a lot for local charities raising in excess of £300,000. Trevor would arrange the events and our great friend Dennis Priestley and myself would put on the darts Exhibition and all proceeds would go to the charities. I went to quite a lot of darting events and race meetings with Trevor, the latter he arranged annual trips from his works, he loved his horse racing. Trevor got me out of an all time low when my first wife passed away, and in 2004 he was the Best Man at Stephanie and my wedding. Trevor’s family are one of the best you could ever wish for, they took me in as one of their own. The World has lost a great man and I am proud to have known Trevor not only as a best friend, but I regard him as a brother. Missing you mucka.x Leighton
